Adoptive Parents is a support group for adoptive families. The group meets on the 1st Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Camp Hamby is a day camp sponsored by the church. It held for two weeks during the summer. One week is for K-3 children and lasts from 8:00-1:00. The other is for 4-7 and lasts from 8:00-3:00. We hope to have an on-line registration form at a later date.
Children Ministries meets on Sunday nights at 6:45. During the summer, the children enjoy Wonderful Wednesdays.
Choir incudes handbells, children, youth, and adult. The adult handbell choir meets from 6:30-7:30 on Wednesday nights. The regular adult choir meets after the handbell choir from 7:30-8:30 on Wednesday nights. The older youth choir meets from 6:00-6:45 on Sunday nights. The younger youth choir meets from 6:45-7:30 on Sunday nights.
SFUMC Cook Books are now on sale. It is a compilation of recipes from many of the church members. They are for sale at $4.00 a piece. Please send an e-mail to the church if you would like to buy one.
Habitat for Hummanity is a program in which several churches including Summerville First United Methodist are involved in. It is made up of volunteers who participate in building homes for weather victims and the needy.
Mothers Day Out is a pre-school type program. It is for children from 3-4 years old and meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-1:00.
Sunday School classes for all ages is offered at Summerville First United Methodist. There are several different groups depending on what type of study you wish to involve yourself in. The groups meet from 10:00-10:45 on Sunday mornings.
Troop 7 is an active troop and is sponsored by the church. If you would like to become a scout, you can send e-mail either to dasnow@wavegate.com, or zeke_baker@hotmail.com.
United Methodist Men meet on the first Thursday in the month. It is a group of "christian men in society."
