USA PROJECTS LIST FOR TEAMS

November 2004

The purpose of the monthly Projects List for Teams - USA (PLT) is to identify mission project opportunities in the United States for volunteer teams. Our goal is to make a Christian Difference in the lives of others and ourselves.  An electronic version of the PLT is posted at these Web addresses: http://www.gbgm-umc.org/scjumc/VIM.htm or www.gbgm-umc.org/vim.  Annual Conferences are encouraged to hotlink or place this copy of the PLT on their own Web pages. Projects do not need to be United Methodist projects to be listed, but must be safe, ethical, and approved by the responsible United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM) coordinator. Project coordinators should use the Project Profile Form to advertise their opportunities and solicit support of their respective conference UMVIM Coordinators.  All Project Profiles should be submitted through local conference and jurisdictional UMVIM coordinators for approval. Upon approval, send your project profile form to the South Central Jurisdiction UMVIM Office for publication.  If you are unsure how to contact your conference UMVIM coordinator, first locate your United Methodist Jurisdiction, and then your Annual Conference, on the Map of the United States located on this web site: http://gbgm-umc.org/vim/umvimmap.htm. There are five United Methodist UMVIM Jurisdictional Coordinators, who can refer you to your respective  Conference UMVIM Coordinator. Contact the UMVIM SCJ office, Rev. Bill Bache, umvimscj@sbcglobal.net 214-692-9081, Fax 214-692-9083, cell: 214-641-1332, for more information or to post corrections. The list is organized by jurisdiction, then alphabetically by state. Some states, like Texas and New York have several conferences.
