Mission Statement:
The Scipio United Methodist Church Preschool
Program will endeavor to nurture children socially, academically, and spirtitually.
We believe this ministry will provide an important foundation for preschoolers
and their families. |
|
    |
| The Scipio United Methodist Church
began a new preschool program in the fall of 1998. We strive to reach out
to the families in our community by offering a much needed ministry in
this area. The program has a three-fold curriculum which focuses on academic
skills, social skills and Biblical teachings. We feel that this will give
children an opportunity to become better prepared for kindergarten. Our
preschool will also enable children to learn and practice Christian life
skills in a positive setting. |
Operating Information
The preschool operates financially independent
of the Scipio United Methodist Church. The preschool is funded entirely
through monthly tuitions, donations, and grant money. Donations and grants
are used for purchasing supplies and equipment. Monthly tuitions are used
to pay staff, furnish consumable supplies, insurance premiums, and use
of the copier machine. The preschool runs as a non-profit organization.
The preschool is governed by the minister, director,
and a group of preschool board members (which include church members and
parent representatives). |
