Outreach Notes

Freely ye have received, freely give. - Matthew 10:8

Mechawana Outreach Notes Tape Ministry
Cooper Community Center Nicaragua Covenant Ecumenical Food Pantry

Mechawana

Although it has turned cold, Mechuwana will still be offering retreats, rallies, and overnights during the cold weather. The next event coming up is the Junior High Rally in November. The next Rally will be the Senior High Rally in December. More opportunities for gathering may be found at the website www.mechuwana.org

Mechawana Bear is keeping his tummy full of Campbell's products. The proofs of purchase were used last year to upgrade the computer system in the camp offices and also to get much needed athletic equipment. We have been sharing the labels with the Conference United Methodist Women. They, in turn, send them to Cooper Community Center. Cooper Community Center,in Boston, has been collecting labels towards the purchase of a 15 passenger van. They need 1.5 million proofs/labels. In the last year, they have collected enough to buy a wheel.

Tape Ministry . . .

Just a reminder that the tape ministry will be available to those who might like to receive a tape of the 10:30 AM Sunday service starting October 5th.

If you know of any shut-ins who might like a tape, please leave a message with Bev in the office, or let Cora or Harold Brown know,  telephone 854-1869,  e-mail, chbrown218@gwi.net

Outreach Notes . . .

Did you know there is a bulletin board in the hall dedicated to the Outreach ministries of our church? It is the bright blue one just inside the door. We are hoping that this year we can present information on the many organizations we support in our advance specials category of our budget. These are the programs that get our monies at the end of the year after we have paid our mission shares to the Conference.

Keep an eye on the board for frequent current information on these programs.
