Dr. Ronald Rivest

Voting Machines

 

Dr. Ronald Rivest is the Viterbi Professor of Computer Science in MIT"s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.  He helped develop one of the worlds most widely used Internet security systems, and is the 2007 Marconi Fellow and prize-winner for his pioneering work in the field of cryptography, computer and network security.  He has written many papers on voting technology and is part of the CALTECH/MIT Voting project.

The Reinhold Neibuhr Professor of Social Ethics at Union Theological Seminary, he brings an extraordinary command of the history of liberal theology and a broad knowledge of the major social ethical issues facing the world today.
