Dominick Giaquinto is the Director of
Music Ministries at First United/color>
Methodist Church, a position he has held since 1999. After attending/color>
the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY, where he graduated magna cum/color>
laude in 1982 with a degree in music education and a concentration in/color>
organ, he continued his studies with eminent organists both here and/color>
abroad. Some of Dominick's teachers were
Stephen Best of First/color>
Presbyterian Church, Utica; James Autenrith and
William Maul of the/color> Crane School
of Music; John Weaver of Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church/color>
in New York; as well as Jean Langlais of Ste. Clothilde, Paris, France./color>
He also has attended numerous workshops and taken courses in church/color>
music, choral directing, handbells and organ at Wittenberg University,/color>
the Hartt School of Music, Dartmouth College and Westminster Choir/color>
College./color>
From 1996 to 2000, Dominick served as the
Dean of the Eastern New York/color>
Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. In 2003, he served as a
chairperson for the Eastern New York A.G.O. Albany Convention Committee.
In January of 2006, Dominick appeared as the organ soloist in the
“Concerto in G Minor” of Joseph Rheinberger with the Schenectady
Symphony Orchestra in a performance at First United Methodist Church.

At First United Methodist Church,
Dominick oversees the entire music/color>
program. He is the organist and choir director of the church's Chancel/color>
Choir and Handbell Choir. He works in conjunction with Associate
Organist,/color> Nancy Walden and
Associate Choir Director, Mitchell Haverly. As a/color>
member of the church's Music Committee, he oversees the concert series/color>
which is now entering its twenty-ninth season./color>
