Making of Banners
You can use different things for patterns like banner books, and looking on the internet we have even used billboards for ideas.
After you find the pattern you will have to decide the size your banner will be; then you may need to enlarge the pattern to fit the size of the banner.
We use a computer and scanner to enlarge our patterns. I would scan the picture and then set the setting to a size I need then print up all the parts and then tape it together to make a large pattern. You may have to make more than one because you will have to use it to put the banner together.
The banner background:
You will have to iron-on 5/8” adhesive tape to the back of all the edges then fold the sides and bottom 1 inch and iron the sides and bottom. You should fold the top about 2 to 3 inches leave a pocket so you can put a wooden dowel rod thru it. The rod should have a hole in both ends so you can put a rope thru so it can be hung.
Pattern:
Before you cut out the pattern you will have to put iron-on adhesive on the back of your fabric then cut out the pattern. Peel off the paper backing of the iron-on adhesive. Then you will pin the pattern in place on your banner. After you iron-on the pattern to seal the edges you can use dimensional fabric paint on the edges.
