Our UMW Unit's Community Involvement

     Our unit of United Methodist Women are indivually and collectively involved in our community.

      Along with other UMW units in our country, we have have brought attention to abusive child labor practices in the world.   The Rug Mark Foundation, a global nonprofit organization working to end illegal child labor and offer educational opportunities for children in India, Nepal and Pakistan.

      Our current Mission Coordinator for Social Action, Edith Kay, has brought to our attention to our attention health information available online at The Breast Cancer Fund

State of the Evidence 2004 concludes that exposure to synthetic chemicals and radiation has contributed more than previously thought to the rising incidence of breast cancer.
