The Sawyerwood United Methodist Church service is a time to worship God, with a Bible-based ministry focusing on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and evidenced through the Holy Spirit. We gather at 10:30 am, following the ringing of the bell in the bell tower, and share our praise through music, prayer, and study of God's word. Our service is an informal blending of traditional and contemporary. All are cordially invited to join us.
On Christmas eve we share a special candlelight service at 7:00 pm, recounting the story of the birth of the Christ child, and in singing and communion.
Ash Wednesday evening services herald the coming of the lenten season, with a special communion service.
During Holy Week (the week before Easter) there is a special gathering on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday to retell the story of Christ's passion.
Easter Sunday begins with a sunrise service, where we celebrate Christ's bodily resurrection. Though he once was dead, he now lives, forevermore!
Please see the bulletin for days and times of the special services, or call the church, anytime.
MUSIC: All are invited to join our choir, hand chime choir, or for the young our Praise Team as we worship God through our music.
