Our Pastor
is Rev. Myrna Bernadel-Huey.
I was born in Haiti; raised in the
Philadelphia suburb of Wayne, PA; received a BA in Psychology from
Dickinson College, in Carlisle, PA; received my Master of Divinity
(MDiv) from Boston University, concentrating my studies in Pastoral
Counseling, and Social Ethics; and completed a Post-Graduate Training
Program in Pastoral Counseling from the Samaritan Counseling Center in
Portland, OR. Most recently, I completed the Clinical Pastoral
Education program at the John Muir - Mt. Diablo Medical Center (now
John Muir Health). My husband and I have a soon-to-be 11 yr. old
and a
16 yr. old. For self care, I
receive Rosen Body Work and enjoy a regular Curves workout to
envigorate my body, mind, and spirit!

Our Director of Discipleship Ministries
is Judy Bulman
Judy is a long time member of our congregation having first come to our
church as a child when her family moved to California. Her three
children grew up in this church and were active in Sunday School and
UMYF.
Judy has completed the course work for the Certification in Spiritual
Formation offered by the UMC. Her current interest is in
developing and providing both Sunday and weekday opportunities for
adult spiritual growth. She can usually be reached at the church
office on Thursdays.
Judy is currently on leave to deal with health issues. We hope that our
prayers for Judy are answered.
Our Music Director
April McNeely leads our choir and our bell choir.
Our Organist
This position is currently being filled by a volunteer.
Our Church Secretary

Our Custodian
is Nancy Ratner Skinner.
Nancy is a professional dancer and during 2004 she went with her dance
troupe to perform in Yugoslavia.
Our Facilities Manager
is Bob Tanquary.
Bob works to coordinate room use, and to insure
effective
use of the facilities of First UMC. Bob is a member of the Board of
Trustees,
a longtime member of First UMC, a kind and thoughtful steward and
negotiator
on behalf of the Board of Trustees.
