Outreach Programs
April Showers
As a part of the Inter-Faith Homeless Network of San Leandro, we
provide bi-weekly lunches, hot showers and clean underwear to the
homeless of the San Leandro area. Volunteers should contact the church
office.
FOOD AND CLOTHING COLLECTION FOR DAVIS STREET AND WOMEN'S SHELTER
Collection bins are located in the church near the south door to the
parking lot.
Women's Shelter Diners
See Dennis to help with the monthly Sunday Dinner prepared for the
women and children.
Red Wagon Sundays
That last Sunday of each month a dry/canned food collection is gatherer
in our Red Wagon for use by the Davis Street Center.
FIRST UMC'S LOVE-IN-ACTION
Can you give a ride to a doctor's office? A phone call to a lonely
person? A house repair for someone who can't? Volunteer weekly to
assist someone who is ill and has no family? Bring in meals to a
grieving family?....

Our Church supports this organization through fund raising and youth
work days at their Ceres, California farm.
