This is a good time of year to invite someone to Salem, one who might be looking to you to be Christ to them. Who might that be in your circle of family, friends, and neighbors? Take a risk and invite them — they're probably waiting for someone to ask. It takes all of us to do Christ's work of evangelism.

Reasons to Go to Church

Family and Friends
More people go to church because a friend or relative invites them than for any other single reason. It's wonderful to have someone in your life who wants to share the joys and discoveries of their church with you.

Freedom from Doubt
Perhaps you're searching for answers to your questions. Maybe you want to replace your doubt with faith. Church is a good place to establish a confident spiritual life.

New Friendships
Because good churches are always caring communities, most can make you feel right at home in a short time.
Personal Crisis
Any circumstance that shakes up your private world can prompt you to seek new spiritual resources. Sometimes the only good to come from a bad situation is that you find God's help through His church.
Desire to Make a Difference People who want to make a positive impact on the world realize it cannot be done alone. The church is the perfect way for you to work with others to build better marriages, families and communities.
God's Intervention
Have you ever sensed the reality of God's nearness, love and power? Has God surprised you with His help and protection? The church meets to experience God's presence together and to strengthen your faith.

Searching for Truth
What do you do when every other path you try leads to a dead end? You can decide to check out Jesus Christ and His church. You may experience the wonder of finding the Living God with us.

Unfulfilled Needs
You can have "everything" and still feel like "nothing." At church you can find new meaning and purpose for your life.

Freedom from Guilt and Hopelessness
If you feel like you've really blown it in your life, if you feel like you'll never be able to change, then church has good news for you. You'll find others there who have found forgiveness and courage through Jesus Christ.

We invite you to be our guest this week. We'd love to become your church home or to assist you in finding one. Come and see if this church is for you.
