St. Paul United Methodist Church

Weddings and Receptions

Weddings:
If you are looking to have your wedding in a historic church setting that evokes a quieter, simpler time, St. Paul is available to host your special day. Our chapel seats approximately 150 persons. Our pastor can perform the ceremony, or at your discretion, another clergy person. A piano is available for use as well as a recently installed sound system for recorded music. We have prepared a room for the bride and brides maids, well equipped to make preparing for the wedding a bit less hectic. Likewise the groom and groomsmen have their own room to relax, dress, and wait in. St. Paul is generally available for weddings and receptions on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or other times can be arranged. Our fee is affordable and competitive with other churches and reception centers.

Wedding Ceremony

Receptions:
You are also welcome to hold your wedding reception or other special event at St. Paul. The reception area is available separately - no need to pay for both a wedding and a reception unless you plan to use both. Our lower level meeting area will accomodate about 150 guests, or if the weather permits, our lawn and gazebo are also available. The reception area has restroom facilities and a kitchen that can be used to serve food and refreshments.

Some things to keep in mind:
- Our pastor wishes to meet with couples that she will be performing the ceremony for, to get aquainted with the couple and discuss details of the ceremony, music, and other arrangements. Please allow adequate lead time for meeting with the pastor and making arrangements.
- You have the freedom to design your own decorations and select your own music and/or musicians for the ceremony.
- You have the option to bring your own refreshments, or to have the event catered. We aren't in the catering business and don't require you to purchase food, drink, flowers, or decorations from us.
- In respect for our United Methodist traditions, alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be served in our church.
- Our building is currently not wheelchair accessible. Guests must be able to use the stairs to reach the chapel and lower level reception hall.
