Saint James Pastor

Rev. Bob Vincent

I am excited that God has brought us together to worship Him and as the Body of Christ continue to build up His Kingdom in the name of His Son Jesus Christ.  I am looking forward to getting to know you better and you know me.  In the meantime, here is a short bio on my faith journey.

I grew up in a rural town of SC (Lynchburg) before attending USC in Columbia for 4 years.  After graduating from college, I was self-employed in my family’s business for 2 years before joining Bank of America for 14 years.  Then, after years of discernment, I left my VP position in the Credit Policy Division to enroll fulltime at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (LTSS) and graduated in the United Methodist Studies Program.

My last appointment was at Trinity UMC in Blythewood where I served as Associate Pastor for 5 years.  During that time, I also served Zion UMC in Blythewood as their Pastor for 2 years.

My wife, Susan and I thank God and celebrate 18 years of marriage and a 16 month old daughter, Bailey.  In addition, we have 2 dogs and we all live only 10 minutes from the church (Windsor Lake Park Subdivision).

Again, my family and I are excited about being at St. James UMC and I am excited about being your Pastor.  I look forward to meeting you and joining you in Christ’s holy ministry for which He calls and commissions each of us.

    God's Peace,

Bob
