About St. James
St. James is located in the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley, in
uptown Kingston, NY. We are committed to providing a wide range of opportunities
for Christian worship, service to our members, the greater community and the world.
Our membership draws from all ages and walks of life. We recognize that we are one
of God's works-in-progress, seeking to grow in our faith and knowledge; individually and
collectively. |
Our Statement of
Purpose
The purpose of the St. James United Methodist Church is to “bear
witness to the community and to the world that the Word of God is Alive through worship,
Christ-centered education, nurture, fellowship, and sharing our gifts and service.”
At St. James, you will find a broad selection of activities to participate in.

To our members, friends and visitors
The world is full of people like you and me and many are seeking ways
to feel more secure, to feel appreciated, to know there is more to life than just work,
TV, eat, sleep then starting over. Our Pastor, Dave Jolly spent two years praying,
researching and writing a book called “Sanctuary”; a book about
God’s ways of offering far more that we may have realized and how we are part of that
amazing plan. Click here or on our Links tab

book. Treadmills have a place in the gym but there is meant to be far more to
life. God simply does love us all- always. |
Sunday Worship Schedule
Contact Information
The church office is normally staffed Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM until 1:00
PM and on Fridays, 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM. Outside of these hours, messages may be
left on the telephone recorder. FAX and e-mail service is available 24 hours a day.
We are located at the corner of Fair and Pearl Streets in Kingston, NY. To visit
St. James during the week, please come to the church office, located next to the church at
29 Pearl Street.
