Scripture Lessons: Psalm 85, Colossians 2:6-15, St. Luke 11:1-13
Summary:When an unnamed disciple says to Jesus, "Teach us to pray," he is expressing a longing to be lifted to Jesus' level of awareness, openness, and expectancy in praying. The model prayer our Lord then gives becomes a "spokesperson" for the heart's desires and yearnings, shaping them that we may rightly desire and rightly order our priorities in our journey of faith.
