Redwine was established from camp meetings that were held inthe 1840's. In 1845 W.E. (Buck) Redwine, for whom the church is named, gave forty acres of land on which the first church was built. Old Redwine campground is remembered by relatives of Civil War veterans as a recruiting place during the war. In 1861, Company D of the 27th Regular Georgia Volunteer Infantry was organized at Redwine. In 1891, the second church building was constructed. The arbor that stands on our grounds today is the third one that has been built. In 1974-75, the church complex was renovated and enlarged. In 1995, we added a 200 seat fellowship hall and five Sunday School rooms. During 1996, the sanctuary was renovated and enlarged. Seating capacity was increased to approximately 300, with a separate prayer room.
