PURPOSE
OF THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

In an effort to encourage more women to get involved in our local UMW, we have changed our schedule. We will meet as usual two months out of each quarter on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Once a quarter, we will meet at 8:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month. Our October meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14. A special program is being planned. UMW is what we make it. - We are hoping it will be a time of Fellowship and spiritual growth and not just a business meeting.

Remember our annual Election Day Dinner & Bazaar is November 7th. There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board if you are willing to furnish pies, salad, and cook a turkey etc. and also what time and what job you can do to help serve and clean up. Thank you in advance for your
