Bouchery Heart Havens Month February is Heart Havens Month. Heart Havens is a ministry of the United Methodist Church. Homes are provided for adult mentally challenged persons. The nearest home to Rodes United Methodist Church is in Stuarts Draft. Each February an offering is collected to support the ministry of Heart Havens. Our church family also collects paper products and delivers them to the home in Stuarts Draft. More information will be given in the church bulletin for those of you who would like to help. You can make a financial donation to that ministry anytime through the church offering. Please designate your gift to Heart Havens. Also, you can bring paper products to the church building. In the past, members of our church family have visited the home in Stuarts Draft delivering the paper products and serving the residents pizza. Missionary Support : Clara Biswas Clara Mridula Biswas is assigned as a community worker in Cambodia. She works to improve the lives of impoverished children in Phnom Penh, many of whom are homeless and live in the streets. Clara is ministering in a place that most of us will never travel to and ministering to a people we will probably never personally minister to. Clara was chosen by the Rodes United Methodist Men to be supported financially. The goal is to raise $1050 per year. Special offering envelopes are available in the vestibule of the church building or your can send your gifts to 8472 Rockfish Valley Highway, Afton, VA 22920. Please make your checks to the United Methodist Men and mark your gift "for missionary support." Thank you for your support of Clara through your prayers and finances. |
