Like a colorful tapestry woven of many threads, Rockville United Methodist Church is woven together by the collective love and commitment of successive generations of Christians. Since June 15, 1844, when a small group of Christians decided to form the Methodist Church in Rockville, this congregation has spread the love of God in ever-widening circles and through myriad programs. Proud of our past, we are not wedded to it. Our Church constantly reinvents itself to meet the needs of the contemporary world, while remaining grounded in the historic truths and values of Christianity.
What makes this church unique is not its many programs or its history; it is the blending of the old and the new, the traditional and the contemporary, and the gathering of diverse peoples to love and serve together. This is accomplished through some of the programs and activities described on this web page. However, the worship of God is the center from which everything else radiates; and so we invite you to worship with us. Our normal Sunday schedule is below.
