Rockville United Methodist Church, at 142 Grove Street in the Rockville section of Vernon, Connecticut, is located about 12 miles northeast of Hartford, Connecticut. Vernon is bordered by the communities of Manchester, Bolton, Coventry, Tolland, Ellington and South Windsor.

How to get here:
From Interstate 84, going east or west, take Exit 67, go north on route 31 (Mile Hill Road); at the first intersection, continue straight through the light (center lane) onto Grove Street, and RUMC is on your immediate left.

Population: about 33,900
Area: 40.4 square miles
History:  The Rockville section of Vernon is the older historic district of the town, once a center for wool manufacturing. Currently this section of town is undergoing a revitalization and many of its Victorian mansions and mill homes are being renovated. Rockville merged with Vernon in 1965, but it remains a friendly, close-knit section of the town.
