We Are...

A Place for Worship

We gather every Sunday to give honor, worship, and praise to the Holy Trinity, who creates, redeems, and sustains our lives.  Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

A Place to Grow in Knowledge and Love of the Lord

We gather to study the Bible because, in these foundational stories of God’s people, we see ourselves and we learn to trust that the Lord will respond to us with the same love, grace, and mercy that was given to God’s chosen people and the disciples of Jesus Christ.

A Place to Become Connected with the World Wide Church

We belong to the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church, that is comprised of over 500 churches in six states.  The Conference supports us via pastoral support, administrative services, and lay training, and by providing individual growth opportunities in local, regional, and global settings. In return, gifts from our congregation support the ministries of the Conference for local, regional, national, and global ministries of peace, justice, and mercy.

A Place to Connect to Our Community

We work together ecumenically with the other congregations of Cape Ann, to hold a number of joint worship, and learning experiences. Our members contribute both time and resources to Open Door, Cape Ann Food Pantry, and other community organizations. We also share our building with a pre-school ("Adventures with Amy") and with various community groups for public concerts, meetings of AA, interfaith gatherings, Red Cross blood drives, etc.

A Part of the Church Universal

Our congregation includes people of all ages and walks of life, joined by our mutual desire to grow in our love of God and of our neighbors -- and especially by recognition of the unique place of Jesus of Nazareth in the history of humankind.
