| Take One Step Up For Christ and
His Church
What is more important than the service
we render to God through our stewardship?
Our lives are ever connected to the Creator.
Passion for better relationships in family, church,
and community are enhanced through the identity we have
with the Creator. Our
life as responsible stewards becomes richer when we commit
ourselves to the will and purpose of God.
The possibilities for abundant life and fruitful
ministry are all bound up in the way we render service to
God through our stewardship. My prayer for us is that we see into the near future and realize
that God is calling us to care for the poor, the naked,
the thirsty, the hungry, and the oppressed.
This church, Riverside United Methodist, is now being
pulled by its soul connection to God for bearing fruit.
We want to see children running and playing at this
church, children laughing and crying, children learning
and loving. Someone
gave us the chance to grow in the love of Christ. Why is it that we seem to believe all children don’t deserve the
same thing? Our
stewardship education event is the beginning of a yearlong
effort to use our resources to grow and develop ministry
in the church and community.
We will explore every area of gifts we have to make
this church a place of refuge and stability for those seeking
Christ. As we ask for leadership and committee persons, we also ask for
your monetary commitments.
We cannot be in ministry if we do not believe God
is calling us to unselfish, unconditional love.
Let’s take one step up for Christ and build up his
church called Riverside!
Peace,
Vincent Harris
