Witness

The mission of our church provides what can be the guidance with which to live our lives. The first component, to learn, I believe is best achieved by modeling the behavior and actions of some of the leaders of our church. People like Paul Delmar and Sandy Bellinger have provided for me what it means to be a true disciple of Christ. The best form of modeling what we can do is to work to live our lives as much like Jesus Christ did. I feel another way to learn is to surround ourselves with other believers in small groups and/or accountability groups.

The second part of our mission, to love, for me, and to give. To give of our time to others in need, to give of our talents in ways to further His kingdon, and to give of our gifts to equip others to be able to do God's work. To love means to give of yourself as Jesus Christ did.

The last aspect, to live, means to be in service. It is an essential part of our spiritual health to be in service. We need to do so not only because the Bible commands us to but perhaps, just as importantly, being in service provides us the opportunity to grow closer in our walk with the Lord.
