Wisconsin In-Gathering Offerings arrive in the Rio Grande Conference |

A special partnership exists between the Rio Grande Conference and the Wisconsin
Conference of the United Methodist Church. The two conferences share friendships,
ideas and even Fraternal Delegates at their respective annual conferences.
In addition, the Rio Grande Conference is the grateful beneficiary of
many blessings that come from the Wisconsin Conference's Rio Grande Task Force (http://www.wisconsinumc.org/missions/RioGrandePartnership.html) as well as the Wisconsin Conference's Volunteers In Mission Program (http://www.wisconsinumc.org/missions/VIM/RioGrandeJan03.html). In addition, at the 2002 Wisconsin Conference In-Gathering, participants put together many, many boxes of items including Teachers Bags for Sunday Schools and Vacation Bible Schools, Sewing Kits with needles, threads and fabrics, First Aid Kits with basic first aid and toiletry items, Clothing Boxes of both adult and children's clothing, and many, many other items. Some of the boxes were transported by the Wisconsin VIM Team when they visited El Mesias UMC in San Antonio, TX. The rest of the boxes were brought by the Rev. Steve Groves when he made a trip to San Antonio to visit family. We give thanks to God for giving him safe passage with so many blessings! |
