RIDGE MOMS

Ridge Moms meet the first and third Wednesday of each month, 9:00 - 11:00 am. The purpose of the group is for moms of young children to meet and socialize with other mothers. WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Women's Bible Study meets on Tuesday mornings in the church parlor from 9:30 - 11:00 am. The study is open to women of all ages. Our goal is to grow in understanding of the Lord and develop meaningful relationships that support each other with prayer and friendship on that journey. In the past we have studied: Women of the Old Testament, Proverbs, Fruits of the Spirit, and Angels. Our current study is on the Gospel of Mark, Life Lessons by Max Lucado. This twelve week study will begin February 2, 1999. The class size fluctuates each week. This is a diverse group in age, life experience and Bible background. Everyone is invited to participate at the level that is comfortable for them. The class begins each week with a time of fellowship and coffee. This is followed by a time of prayer for ourselves and others. The lesson takes about one hour. The group meets September through May. In the past the group has meet in the afternoon, with a baby-sitter provided. It is hoped that an afternoon group will start up again in the near future. If you are interested in learning more about God, sharing in laughter, and having a good cup of coffee this is the group for you. For more information contact Beth Kitchell.

DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY

DISCIPLE I: BECOMING DISCIPLES THOUGH BIBLE STUDY is an approach to Bible study that emphasizes disciplined reading of and listening to Scripture. The goal is to become a biblically nourished person committed to living as a disciple of Jesus Christ. During the course of 34 weeks, the group will study Genesis to Revelation and will read more than 70% of the Bible. The class meets for two hours a week, and requires about 30 minutes of reading each day.

DISCIPLE II: INTO THE WORD INTO THE WORLD

MEN'S STUDY GROUP

EMMAUS

Ridge Church participates in and encourages others to participate in the Walk to Emmaus. The Walk to Emmaus is a three-day experience which takes a New Testament look at Christianity as a lifestyle. It is a highly structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people, and through them their families, congregations and the world in which they live. If you would like to participate on a Walk, contact Jim or Mary Doolittle.

UMW
