Worship Services are intended to bring members and guests closer to God and to each other in our faith. Our church offers worship services two times per week. Visitors are always welcome.

• Worship Services Sunday Morning: Join us for a blended service which includes time for sharing of joys and concerns, prayer, children's time, choir or special music performance, singing, offering, and a sermon.
• Special Services: The Methodist Church holds special theme services throughout the year. These services include prayers and sermons that follow the special theme, and usually includes the opportunity for special offerings in support of God's work in that area.

• Lectionary: Our church Gospel lessons generally follow the Common Lectionary. The schedule can be found online.
• Communion: Communion is included in the worship on a regular basis: first Sunday of each month  Ours is an open table, all who wish communion with Christ may partake.
• Children's Time: Every worship service includes a time for children to come up and hear the gospel through stories, activities and language they can relate to.
• Bible Zone: During worship service, after the children's worship time, children age four to six can go to the Bible Zone to hear stories and play while their parents enjoy the rest of the worship service.
• Nursery: During worship and Sunday School, our nursery provides a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children, ages birth to four.

Music is an important aspect of our worship and celebration of God's love. Our church is blessed with a lot of musical talent. Renton First United Methodist Church is proud to offer a wide variety of music programs. There is something for everybody.

• Chancel Choir: The chancel choir is an integral part of our Sunday worship services. Each week the choir performs special music selections ranging from classical hymns to modern gospel. The choir also does special performances for Christmas, Easter and other special events. The chancel choir meets for practice and fellowship each Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. • Children's Angel Choir: Children, second-grade through sixth-grade, are invited to join the Angel Choir which meets each Sunday following the children's time during the 10:30 service. The children learn age-appropriate music and perform for the congregation several times during the year. In addition, the children showcase their talent with wonderful musical plays that are one of the highlights of the music year.
• Women's Ensemble: Our talented women's ensemble performs several times a year. Contact Leslie Huberty for information.
• Special Music: In addition to the regular music programs, we have many talented members who share their instrumental and vocal talents with the rest of the church family. We also invite special groups to share cultural or unique music experiences with our congregation.

Prayer has always been a pillar of Christian faith. The power of prayer is proven to have healing qualities, both emotionally and physically. Prayer is an important part of our worship services, fellowship groups and our daily lives. Many prayers have been answered, and miracles have occurred within our congregation, thanks be to God.

• Sharing of Joys and Concerns: We take time in each worship service to share our joys and concerns with the church family. We lift our joys and concerns to God, asking for healing and hope.
• Prayer Chain: The prayer chain was established to lift significant needs within the congregation to God. Members of the prayer chain are called and asked to pray for those needing special attention. • Cyber Prayer Chain: Be part of a prayer chain that goes around the world. Pray for peace, love and tolerance for ALL of God's children.
