RED BRIDGE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Red Bridge UMC members Lillian Ball, and, Kathie and Mike Cronan were a part of a VIM trip to South Africa October 4-20.  The trip was lead by Rev. Diane Nunnelee, pastor at Trinity UMC in Kansas City, Mo.  The focus of this trip was to help St. James Methodist Church in Belhar (in the Cape Flats area East of Cape Town).  The ten member team worked helping in the process of building the brick walls of the new sanctuary and cleaning the grounds around the church.  They were also involved in crafts activities with the children of the church and neighborhood as well as preparing and distributing food from the back of a van in various Township neighborhoods.
