Bridge of Eternal Faith

A Planned Giving Endowment fund, providing a way to make a lasting gift to benefit the ministry of the Church for generations to come.

How Much?

Over the next 15 years, more than $10 trillion in assets will be transferred between generations. As individuals make important decisions on how to faithfully direct their resources, one option to consider is the ministry of the church.

Red Bridge United Methodist Church has established a way for church members and other interested persons to create a lasting legacy and witness to their faith through a Permanent Endowment Fund entitled Bridge of Eternal Faith.

This fund receives permanent gifts from individuals and organizations, but only the earnings are used. Donors have the assurance that their gifts will be working forever, as a lasting contribution to the Church, because only the earned interest is used annually. The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation has been selected to administer the fund under the direction of the Endowment Committee.

Are Gifts Tax-Exempt?

All gifts given to Bridge of Eternal Faith are tax-exempt.

How Will the Fund be Used?

Gifts to the Bridge of Eternal Faith Endowment Fund will be applied to a Restricted General Fund with earnings being applied according to the following formula: 80% of the interest will be used for capital improvements; 10% will be used for missions and new ministries; and 10% will be reinvested into the Fund. Designated Fund Accounts may be established with a minimum contribution of $10,000.
