Knocking on the
Doors of Justice!

We Keep On Knocking!

The Parents Reconciling Network

The Parents Reconciling Network (PRN) invites United Methodist parents, family members and friends of the LGBT community out of their church "closets"--
to join with us in supporting each other
and our special families.

We have informational pamphlets, organizational outlines, other parents whom you can contact, and a national staff for assistance, and have both national and regional E-mail communication networks where you can receive regular information
and encouragement.

For more information on the Parents Reconciling Network, contact Larry Fox, Western Jurisdiction Co-coordinator for PRN, 360-331-1950 or email him at larryleefox@yahoo.com.

Who benefits?

Even small congregations can make a difference through their individual efforts, or jointly by supporting the larger United Methodist Church through apportionments. Below are a few calls for action, as well as links to UM missions worldwide. Who benefits? That's up to each of us... but congregations like Ravenna help define those needs and give us ways to make a difference.

"Everyone can be great because everyone can serve. You don't have to have a college degree
to serve. You don't even have to make your subject and your verb agree... You only need a heart full of grace...a soul generated by love."
 —Martin Luther King, Jr.

at all the times you can,
to all the people you can,
as long as ever you can.”

Providing Job Training, Education, and Facilities for Community Action
This not for profit organization is an associated activity of Ravenna United Methodist Church. Our Vision includes opening our existing facilities for the creation of a coffee house modeled on the experience of Seattle Fare Start. The goal of this new coffee house is to provide barista training for diversely challenged individuals. We currently anticipate our principal pool of trainees to be street youth and young adults who are seeking to acquire new job skills.
