War and disease have created approximately 1.2 million orphans in Angola. The East Angola Conference of the United Methodist Church has responded by caring for orphans in Malanje and at Quessua. |

Partner Churches are needed to connect with East Angola Conference churches. Partners develop a relationship through correspondence that creates a mutual understanding in order to pray for and support ministries of the local church in Angola. |

Volunteer teams are encouraged to bring their expertise to work alongside and strengthen the United Methodist Churches of the East Angola Conference. Please e-mail us for a list of potential projects or to ask how your expertise may be useful in Angola. |

Dona Winnie Kemp Reading Clubs encourage children to improve their reading skills by providing Portuguese language books and periodicals to supplement school lessons. Children meet in supervised settings at Quéssua Mission in an after school setting. |

Most churches are unable to support the salary of the pastor. Sustainable Community Projects provide equipment or materials for churches and districts to create enterprises that generate money for the support of pastors and the work of the churches. |
