Princeton WV First United Methodist Church

Family Ministries Center

Our Family Ministries Center was consecrated in November of 2001 and dedicated three years later on November 7, 2004 following the burning of the note of indebtedness. This wonderful building is the result of a congregation having the love of Christ in their hearts and a vision for the future in their eyes. It consists of a library, three multipurpose classrooms, a fellowship hall, a spacious kitchen and a full gymnasium with stage. Another room houses the office of the church's youth/young adult director. For church groups staying at the facility while winter skiing or just passing through, showers are provided in the bathrooms and a washer and dryer is available for use. The facility is presently being used for Sunday School classes, Bible studies, Vacation Bible School, presentations, performances, meetings, dinners, fundraisers, receptions, basketball, volleyball and many other Christ-centered activities.

The Family Ministries Center (FMC) is overseen by the FMC Task Force which includes the chairman, the pastor, a church staff member and five additional lay members of the congregation. The FMC Task Force gives overall direction to the policies, use and creative planning for the FMC.

Princeton First United Methodist Church welcomes groups to use the facility. All requests must be received at least 30 days before an event and must be approved by the FMC Task Force. All church activities are given priority and the FMC Task Force has the discretion to ask for a change in dates to accommodate this priority. Every effort will be made to honor any approved request.
