HEALTH FORUM
Saturday, 11/21, 8:00 a.m.
PROSPECT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
99 SUMMER ST., BRISTOL, CT.
Today, we live in an age where obesity is rampant, diabetes on on the rise, many of us have high blood pressure or cholesterol problems and and the costs of health care is rising. To compound this, we find that our children are spending more time eating fast foods, spending more time in front of TVs, on cell phones or computers. Unfortunately, the days of going to the playgrounds to engage in hours of physical activity is all but over.
Now the good news. We at Prospect United Methodist Church are organizing a wonderful event to help people with the dim prospects of the future for a healthy America. The Men's Fellowship is having a free breakfast and health forum dealing with our physical and spiritual well being. We are planning to have many health professionals in the Bristol area attend. We are planning on having blood pressure checks, fat analysis as well as workshops on pain assessment, simple core exercises as well as new nutritional trends for healthy living. A question and answer period will be provided as to meet the needs of all attending. Representatives for our 2 local gyms in Bristol will also be invited.
All are invited, so we at Prospect can have a head count as to provide a nutritious breakfast for all attending. Please call Bill at 860-589-0231 or email Bill at billtee51@comcast.net. for reservations. Please do this by November 17th. We all need to be pro-active to help our loved ones obtain an improved, healthy life style so that we all can enjoy a higher quality of life together. Wishing all good health and God Bless.
