November 2007

Dear Poseyville Family:

This is the month that Poseyville has had its Church charge conference traditionally. On the 29th of November we will, again, have our Church charge conference. However, this year it is being held at the First United Methodist Church on Larkin, downtown. A few of us will participate in the conference. It will be quite a bit more like a worship service with District Superintendent, Rev. Louise Ott, presiding. Since the early formation of the former Methodist classes, annual conferences of the local Church have been held. Poseyville and all local churches are held accountable for their year’s activity. Many other churches have less activity than Poseyville has. We will be reporting this year increases in many areas. We have a level of faithfulness that is quite heart warming. However, the level is a plateau from which we must continue to exercise our God given, Christ-centered faithfulness. In conclusion, read with me I Cor. 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to all people. God is Faithful, and He will not let you be tempted (or tested) beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” A rather long, yet, powerful verse; Be strong, endure, for God is Faithful and will always be with you (us).

Love, in Christ’s Name;
Pastor Mike
