The Ministry of Misions

If we were to ask the question, "What is Missions?" We would get many different and varied answers. "It's going to a foreign land to tell those about Jesus who have never heard." "It's helping the sick, poor, and homeless." "It's giving money to right the wrongs of the world." "It's praying, asking God to help those with various need."

At the St. Paul's it is all of the above. The Missions Committee (at present a committee of seven including the pastor) would like to express our appreciation (say THANK YOU) for involvement (Prayer-Giving-Helping-Going) in the Missions Outreach of Your Church. We and our Missionaries and Outreaches have been blessed by your faithfulness.

Yout involvement had made it possible to help many people in many parts of the world. Your missionaries have prayed, preached, taught, shared, built, and repaired (physically and spritually). They have laughed and cried, been happy and mourned. They have been healthy and sick. They are like us and in some cases have been us. Some, that we call our home missionaries, are members of St. Paul's and we have worshipped with them.

Remember those who felt the call to GO as God moved on their hearts. Some of those haved moved on to other callings but remain on our hearts and in our prayers.

It's because of your involvement that all of this support is made possible. St. Paul's financial giving comes from three sources: the transfer from the general fund, the faith promise pledge giving, and general and special gift giving.

It is our goal to have all the giving used to support Missions Projects, Outreaches, and Individual Missionaries. We seek the LORD'S guidance in making decisions on the dispersing of the giving. We welcome your comments and suggestions. Our meetings are open to all. We are looking for those who feel they have an interest and would like to serve on the committee.

THANKS AGAIN - It's your involvement that makes our missions program possible.
