We have a very energetic and talented Music Director and Organist at PUMC.  Her name is Sheila Schattle.  Come meet her and our talented vocal and instrumental choirs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SHEILA’S MUSIC NOTES:

Adult Choir

Join a wonderful caring group of people who like to sing, have fun and praise God with their music.  The choir leads the music at our Sunday worship services and provides a special anthem each Sunday.  We will perform a Cantata at Christmas.  Rehearsals are Wednesdays 7:15pm in the parlor and Sunday mornings at 9:30am before the 10:00am service. Auditions are not required and the ability to read music is helpful but not necessary.  Come join this friendly group of singers.

Instrumentalists

There are many opportunities during the year for instrumentalists to participate in our worship services.  Please let us know if you play an instrument and would like to share your talent with us.

Church School Musicians

We encourage our youth instrumentalists to play as a group a few times a year.  It is very special when they accompany our congregation with their instruments.  Let us know if you are interested in playing at our service with the other students.

Saturday Night

Singers of all ages are welcome to join us in singing Christian Music at our Saturday Night Service.

PUMC 2005-2006 MUSIC MINISTRY

Adult Choir - This choral group sings every Sunday and is open to anyone grade 8 through adult.  We perform a Christmas Cantata on the 4th Sunday of Advent.  All levels are welcome.  There are opportunities for solo and instrumental participation. We meet on Wednesdays at 7:15pm in the parlor.  New members are welcome.

Recorder Ensemble - This group plays a variety of styles from Hymns to Renaissance Music for church services throughout the year.  We welcome new members, who will receive instruction.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the parlor.

Youth Music Ensemble - Get in on the ground floor of this exciting new ensemble for youth in grades 7 through 12!

Instrumentalists - Please let us know if you play an instrument and would like to participate in our worship services.

Bell Choir - We are still in need of a Bell Choir Director.  Please let us know if you are interested in leading this special group.  Lorna Tiernan has offered to help the new director and we thank Lorna for continuing to work with our PUMC Seabells.

Other Ensembles -We have a men's vocal ensemble "Noteworthy Men" who sing from time to time.  Our Church School Children will share songs with the Congregation several times during the year.
