Ø      Attendance last week included 136 faithful Christians for Saturday and Sunday.  We celebrate those among us who faithfully reach out, whether making disciples or inviting anyone not engaged in a faith community... something Jesus desires from each of us.

Ø      St. Paul’s UMC is soliciting winter coats we are ready to retire... that people can come in during the week and pick from what is available.  So if you have winter coats, that have all the buttons or working zippers, and no holes you can bring them into church and someone from St. Paul’s will pick them up.  Please do not confuse this solicitation for used coats with our Rope of Love, where we buy new coats for needy children on the Island and in Tiverton.

Ø      Cookbooks Available NOW – Linda Atkins has the PUMC cookbooks available.  They are $20 for one and $18 for two or more.  They will be available in the Fellowship Hall after worship.

Ø      Clements Receipts – Please make an effort to deposit your Clements' Market receipts into the folder affixed to the bulletin board adjacent to the church office.

Ø      UNICEF – UNICEF Boxes are due back to the church on Sun., Nov. 9.

Ø      Christmas Wreaths – The Youth Group is selling Christmas Wreaths.  The cost is $22 per wreath.  This is a fundraiser that supports the Down East Maine Mission and our Youth Group.  See a Youth or Dan & Kathy Smith.

Ø      Choir Practice Changes

1. Because of the Charge Conference on Wed., Nov. 12, our choir rehearsal will be on Tues., Nov. 11.

2. The week of Thanksgiving our choir rehearsal will be on Tue., Nov. 25.

Ø      Brown Bag Sunday –  Full bags are due back Nov. 23rd.

Ø      Instrumentalists Wanted - Instrumentalists wanted to accompany hymns on November 23rd.  All ages welcome. Rehearsals will be on Sundays in November, after the service.  Let Sheila know if you are interested.

Ø      Rope of Love – Elizabeth Cochran is in the process of getting the names of the children that need coats this year.  As soon as they are available the tags will be available to church members.  Coats will be due back Nov. 23rd.

Ø      Charge Conference Wed., Nov. 12th.  SPRC will meet at 6:30pm and the church will have their Charge Conference at 7:30 with Rev. Gary Shaw.

Ø      Cookbook Potluck – There will be a potluck on Sun., Nov. 16th to celebrate the publishing of the PUMC Cookbook.  Please make a dish to share from the cookbook and wear your nametag on Sun., Nov. 16th.

Ø      Women’s Group - Our next social event is November 20th at 7:00 PM and we will meet in the downstairs youth room.  Because there is no event for December, we will be having a “Yankee Swap” to kick off the Holiday Season.  If possible, an appetizer and a very festive Christmas wrapped gift is all you will need to bring.  Everyone goes home with a gift (treasure).  The swap gift can be a gift your received and never used or something that never quite matched anything, or an item you have been meaning to donate but keep taking it out of the “to give” box. Please join us for some fun, good food and great company. If you have any questions, call Meghan Rinker at 846-6609.
