United Methodist Women
| A vital group within Portland United Methodist Church is
our United Methodist Women. The primary focus is on missions, with
emphasis both on home missions and overseas work. The women give
practical assistance, both financial and otherwise, to various mission
ministries. Another important ministry carried out by our UMW is that of serving practical needs within the local church. The circle groups arrange help with meals for weddings, funerals, banquets, and any other special occasion. Regular assistance is given at church potlucks and fellowship times. The general UMW meets on the first Thursday of each month. All women are welcome to come and share. |
