Portland United Methodist Church is happy
that you have chosen to solemnize your marriage in a service of Christian
worship in our sanctuary. The following guidelines and policies have been
established to ensure all of the weddings within our church are treated as
a sacred worship service.
As you plan your wedding, one thing is certain; it will mean many hours of
careful thought and preparation. In the days and weeks ahead, you will be
busy with many things. This guide is provided to help you prepare. Both of
you want your wedding to be the significant event you are anticipating.
Portland United Methodist Church wants this too, and hopes that your
wedding day will be among the most memorable days of your life.
Reservations:
Weddings are scheduled on a "first come, first served" basis. When the
date is approved by the Pastor and the deposit has been made, the wedding
date will be
recorded on the church calendar.
Please do not have invitations printed, nor reception hall reserved, until
such approval of the date is cleared.
