| Prayer Boxes | The prayer boxes will be put in the Rivertown Book Store and possibly other locations around town. Requests will be picked up at least weekly and will be included in our prayers. The box will move around town to hairdressers, Curves, dentist offices, etc. |

Will be supporting a Portland community activity. |
| Children’s Worship |
Each of
the classrooms decorated the friendship boxes for the
Portland Area Food Bank, stuffed the informational flyers for boxes, and made posters for
the Portland Area Food Bank walls.
The older Sunday School Classes may make a visit to deliver and hang the posters at the Food Bank. |
| Parties for Seniors | A Valentine's Day Tea Party, Easter Tea Party, July 4th Ice Cream Social, and Bingo Party have been held at the Portland Edgemont Apartments. |
| Food Bank | Assisting with donations and prayer |
| R.A.V.E. (Ionia Women's Domestic Abuse Shelter) | Will stuff a dresser with baby articles |
| Prison Ministry | Will donate material for the inmates to make quilts |
| Helping Hands Ministry | Suggestions/needs of various individuals throughout the church and community can be placed in the “Helping Hands” pot located in the Narthex of the Church, and the small group will try to assist the individual in meeting that need. Yard work and small home repairs have been requested and completed. |
| Phone Cards for Military | Will supply phone cards to military service persons by collecting pop cans. |
| Assist Local Family | Help provide everyday needs, such as food, gas, toys, games, clothing, and school supplies |
| Assist to Church Day Care and Local Community |
Will be disinfecting toys
at the Sunny Bunch Daycare. Helping with yard work in the spring |
| Assist to Seniors |
Will assist at Country Living Adult Foster home in any way we can with shopping, stacking shelves, cooking, etc. Will make calls or visits to senior citizens and offer help around the house or just visit with them. |
| Reaching Out to Hurricane Victims Assist to Portland Food Bank |
Some members of this group are now participating in the Building Bridges project, which is part of the sister city relationship between Portland and Port Sulphur, LA. They are helping a family there by communicating, encouraging, and seeking to find ways to help in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Recently did a shopping spree for items most needed by the Portland Area Food Bank and toured the Food Bank facility at the Senior Center. |
| Portland Area Food Bank Puzzles for Adult Foster Home |
Items were collected and delivered for the Portland Area Food Bank. Puzzles were delivered to residents at the Walnut Grove Adult Foster Home and were greatly appreciated. |
| Assist to Seniors |
Will be making weekly or biweekly visits with one or two shut-ins to offer company and assistance with household chores, etc. Are also trying to find a similar need with an individual in the local community. |
