ODE to SOUP

We will once again be making our delicious Vegetable Beef Soup on Saturday, October 4th at 9:00 a.m. Vegetable and beef donations are needed along with lots of helping hands to prepare the soup in the morning and to return at 6:00 p.m. to bag and freeze the soup for the Bazaar. If you can help in any way, please contact the church.

Blessing of the Animals

 It is time again to celebrate the companionship and love that our animals give to us. On Saturday, October 4th we will bless the animals at 10:00 a.m. at the upper parking lot. All animals are welcome (except those that slither) and will receive a personal blessing. Please have all the animals on leashes or in cages. If you do not have a pet, you are still welcome to come and take part in the service.

 UMM Meeting

Sunday, October 12 at 7:30 a.m. we will have a very special guest speaker, Barry Henning, Portage County Wildlife Officer (Game Warden), from the Ohio Division of Wild Life. He will present a program concerning all aspects of hunting, fishing, and trapping. Bring your question and appetite. All Welcome!

Harvest Dinner

The annual UMW Harvest Dinner is Saturday, October 18th. The buffet dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. The menu will be Swiss Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Squash, Cole Slaw, Applesauce, Rolls, Dessert and Beverage. Cost is $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children ages 3-10. Call your friends and spread the word, we look forward to seeing you. If you have any questions or would like to donate a food item or help with the dinner, please contact the church.
