Youth Ministry
Monica Harbarger – Director of Youth Ministry (Amet consectitur)
Purpose
At Pleasant Hill we firmly believe that the youth are the future of the church. Our Youth Minister organizes devotionals, recreational activities and seasonal trips to encourage spiritual growth and bonding. The Church also sponsors summer camp activities at Camp Sumatanga. These years for youth can be very turbulent. Our goal is to provide a network of leaders and friends that give support and guidance as they develop a closer relationship to Christ. We have blessings to share!
Visitors are always welcome!
Bible study activities
Sunday School    10:00 a.m.
The Sunday School hour begins at 10:00 a.m. This is an opportunity for youth to study relevant bible lessons pertaining to the Christian Season. Youth are divided into middle school and senior high classes.
Sunday Evenings     3:00 - 7:00 p.m.
The Impact Cafe opens at 3 p.m on Sunday afternoons so that the youth can fellowship together. We come together at 5 p.m. to eat and follow the meal with a program that may includes music, skits, videos and games with a purpose!
Wednesday Evenings    3:00 - 8:00 p.m.
We have the Impact Cafe open at 3p.m so the students can come directly from school and have time for homework, games, or just to hang out. We share a meal together with the church at 6 p.m. then the youth gather back in the Impact Cafe for an evening of small groups that focuses on Christ in our Culture and Media. These evenings are built on Christian trust and confidentiality in order to foster growth in our relationships with each other as well as our relationship with Christ..

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Fireside
Fireside is held on the fourth Sunday night in place of our Sunday evening activities. A church member opens their home up to the youth and a meal is provided. The youth are given the chance to recreate as well as get to know the hosts better. Devotionals are held before returning back to the church.

impact café
The Impact Café is the gathering area for the youth. The café has a pool table, ping pong table, stage, kitchen, and big screen TV. This is open during football season after home games and is a valuable tool for community outreach. It is open throughout the week after school and special activities such as concerts and guest speakers gather here.

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose..
2 Corinthians 5: 20
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
