Fall Sunday School Teachers Needed!!!!

Time to start preparing for back to school! Our neighborhood schools are gearing up for the start of a brand new school year. There is anticipation in the hearts and minds of teachers, students, and parents. We are also preparing for the kick off to our regular schedule of Sunday School here at Phillips. We are always in need of dedicated people to teach and mold the minds and hearts of our young people.

The curriculum is provided for you and we will begin the year with a teacher training, as to not leave you feeling lost! It takes no previous experience, and guess what you don’t even have to be all the knowledgeable about the Bible. Many teachers will attest to learning right along with their students! We are willing to put you on a rotating schedule so that you are not committed to teaching every single week.

My prayer is that our Sunday school ministry reaches the hearts and minds of our youth and all adults involved, and that it is a place where we can teach our youth to make decisions in a Christ like way, because of the adults who have given of their time to teach. Please prayerfully consider your role in our youth Sunday school program, and if it is on your heart to be involved please contact me. We also need willing adults to lead adult Bible study classes as well. The topics are your choice and you can choose the duration of your study. If you are interested in teaching an

Adult class please also let me know so that we can prepare a classroom and publicize your class.
Lastly, most of you know that my husband Kermit and I are expecting our second child the first week in September. So I will be missing a couple weeks of church to stay home with the new baby. I will be available via phone and email if you have questions or concerns. The education committee will be stepping in to help out on Sunday mornings with Sunday school, and I will hope to return as soon as possible. Your prayers for a healthy baby and delivery are much appreciated.

In Christ’s Name,
Darcy Wood
