Thanksgiving Love Feast…Our worship service on Sunday, November 23, will be held in the Church Prism so that we can break bread together and thank God for our many blessings. Our traditional Thanksgiving Love Feast includes sharing a light breakfast of muffins, fruit, coffee and juice and then joining in a Thanksgiving worship service.
Donations of muffins are appreciated; a sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board. Donations of canned and boxed foods will be received for the State College Area Food Bank. Please search your pantries and bring non-perishable food and goods to the Thanksgiving Love Feast on Sunday, Nov. 23. These items will be donated to Day Nursery families for their annual Christmas baskets. If your cupboard is as bare as Mother Hubbard's, then a cash donation would be greatly appreciated (if you are able). Please make the holiday season brighter for Day Nursery families by sharing our abundance. Thanks.

Scholarships for Rwanda…Please consider renewing your scholarship gifts for the street children, genocide orphans, HIV/AIDS orphans, and the poor in the community by Dec. 15. Only $15 will support the school needs for one child for a year! (More would also be wonderful to help support the orphanage and school.) What a great way to say thanks during this holiday season for all that you have! Please label your contribution as "Rwanda Scholarships" and place it in the church offering plate. This is what a $15 scholarship provides: 1. School fees for the year; 2. One uniform; 3. One back pack; 4. One jacket; 5. Pens; 6. Notebooks; 7. One pair of shoes. Last year, some 200 children were supported so that they could attend school. Please be generous. Thank you.

Dinners for 8 or More! It’s time to plan for our Dinners for 8 again. This is a social activity designed to give members and friends of our congregation the opportunity to have informal fellowship time together. Those who sign up will take turns hosting groups of 8 (or 6 or 10 depending upon the size of their table) for dinner. The host provides the main dish and the guests contribute the rest of the meal. Dinners will be scheduled at the convenience of all participants for January, February, and March; in April we’ll all go out for a Cook’s Night Out dinner together. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board during the month of December. If you’d like to participate but can’t host a group, please sign up anyway--we’ll be glad to have you as a guest.
