Announcements
The altar flowers this Sunday are given to the glory of God in honor of Pastor Lee and are presented by the UMW Abigail Circle. Please join us during coffee fellowship as we celebrate Pastor Appreciation Sunday.
From Pastor Lee “Thank you for all your various expressions of concern - cards, visits, prayers, and raking leaves. And many thanks to everyone who has a hand in taking up the slack in worship, program, administrative and pastoral care during my recovery from surgery. I am extremely fortunate to have a congregation of caring and competent people.”
Vivien Griffith’s name should have been included in the All Saint’s Remembrance last Sunday. She passed away in March, 2009.
December Mosaic Articles are due 11-08-09. Please drop them off at the office or email them to pfvumc@juno.com

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children worldwide through gift filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. You can participate by filling a shoe box with small toys and other gifts. The filled shoe boxes will be blessed by Pastor Lee on November 22 and delivered that same day to the distribution center. There will be empty shoe boxes and handouts available on the table in the Narthex. If you have questions, please contact Beth Evanko at 692-4233. The final day of collection is November 22.
Election Day Soup and Pie Sale Thanks to all who helped by making soup and selling the soups and apple pies on Election Day.
We made $658 from the sale of soup and $280 from the pies. We still have nine soups frozen and they will be for sale during coffee fellowship time in the Prism after the morning worship service.
Bazaar News Our Christmas Bazaar will be held Friday, December 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 5, 9:00 a.m. to Noon. We have a great selection of many Christmas and other gift items, great bargains in Mrs. Claus’s closet, a huge bake sale and Friday lunch. Please join us.
Weis and Giant prepaid gift cards will be available for sale following church during the coffee fellowship time. You receive full value for these cards for food and pharmacy purchases (and the Post Office at Weis), and the church earns 5% to fund church repairs. See Don or Charlotte Vinson.

Altar Flowers... An avenue to memorialize, honor, or celebrate events is available to the congregation. The church has a brass vase for those who wish to have flowers placed on the altar in memory or recognition of someone, or to celebrate a special occurrence like a birthday, anniversary or achievement. Contact Janet Hinish at 238-0818 to pickup the liner for the florist to make an arrangement. A sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board.
Care Notes…The Family Life Committee is sponsoring the Care Notes literature rack located in the Narthex. These booklets offer encouragement and healing. Feel free to pick up a booklet for yourself or to give to a friend.
