Teaching learning connection can help you...

• plan so that your adults become interested in a Christian Education program for all ages,

• assess the strengths and weaknesses of your current program

• plan for a system of calling forth and equipping teachers that assures willing and capable educational ministries staff,

• learn new methods, discover new resources, re-shape the "tried and true" ideas, and design for education ministries that will make disciples in the year 2002 and beyond.

• plan to make Christian Education the center of energy in your church,

• identify ways to involve your pastor in the program of Christian Education

• discover ways to deepen commitment to Christ, and instill loyalty to the church as you create effective teaching-learning ministries that lead to mature faith.

What is Teaching Learning Connection?

• A team of trained Christian educators available to come to your church and work with you to improve your Sunday School and enhance your educational program

• A ministry of the Division of Education, Virginia Conference Board of Discipleship

Who can benefit?

• Churches with any of the following characteristics:

• Small or medium size membership

• Churches in transition

• Churches without multiple staff

• Churches who want a fresh approach to Christian Education

What does it cost?

Local churches are asked to make a financial contribution toward the program based on average worship attendance:

 

$25 - under 50 people	$75 - 100 - 200 people
$50 - 50 - 100 people	$100 - over 200 people

Two programs are offered:

1.  A team member will conduct a 4-hour GOAL SETTING SESSION to help you determine your needs, and plan for the next step

2.  A workshop/consultation will be conducted as you request.  Each event is tailored to meet the needs of your church based on areas of assistance you have identified in your consultation process or in your local church planning team.
