Jack has served as the pastor at Annandale, Halifax, Sydenstricker, Granbery Memorial, Epworth (Norfolk), Williamsburg, and Grace (Manassas) churches. He has provided extensive leadership in the area of mission as president of the Southeastern Jurisdictional UMVIM Board, as chair of the Virginia Conference Division of Mission Education and Cultivation (Board of Global Ministries), and as Virginia Conference Mission Secretary. Martin and his wife of 40 years, Marianne, are the parents of three children, the Rev. John A. Martin, Walter J. Martin, and Anna E. Martin Turner. They have two grandchildren.
