Program Resources Report
We
have had a very busy year promoting the UMW and the Women's Division Reading
Program. For the first time, we
were given the opportunity to provide a UMW display for the June Annual
Conference of the Peninsula-Delaware United Methodist Church.
Our display was very favorably received -- we offered free literature and
information about the UMW, our Conference, and the upcoming 2002 Assembly
"Sing A New Song" to be held in Philadelphia.
In addition, the sales from our Spring Conference in Wilmington and the
July School of Christian Mission were encouraging and we hope that our Fall
Conference shows a continued increase in sales of literature and Reading Program
books.
Now it is time to start to plan, on a personal level, for the year 2002.
During our walk with God in the coming year, we need to examine
"where we are at", ask "where we want to be" and identify
those things we need to help us walk along God's path.
Is it enough to attend church each Sunday, and live a "good"
life? Is it enough to do volunteer
work and be helpful to others? Is it enough to say that you love others?
Are we "talking the walk" or "walking the walk”???.
To find these answers we need to READ.
We need to especially read THE book – The BIBLE!
It holds the answers to all our questions and will lead each of us to the
discovery of our path along the walk with God. Once we know our path, then we can reach out to the other
wonderful books provided for our personal and spiritual growth -- and one of the
best places to look for these resources is in The Reading Program brochure.
A free copy is waiting for you! All you need to do is ask.
