Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Peck's Memorial United Methodist Church, being composed of believers in Christ Jesus, is:

to share, with all who will hear, the good news of eternal salvation through belief in Jesus Christ, the son of God;

to provide an opportunity for worship and fellowship, whereby redemption and spiritual, nurturing growth can take place;

to use our individual and collective talents and resources to seek out and care for those with physical, mental, and/or spiritual needs;

to encourage and support each other in developing and using our varied talents, which are gifts of the Holy Spirit, for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom; and

to "go into all the world," as Christ commanded, seeking to become knowledgeable concerning needs beyond the local community, and thus becoming global in ministry, recognizing the dignity of all people.

Doing all this in a spirit of love and service, we rejoice and give thanks to God, our Creator.
