Congratulations to Kylie Roeder, who celebrated his Eagle Scout Induction on Sunday, November 15. We are all very proud of you, Kylie!

On Saturday, November 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Rev. Daniel W. Farley will host a district-wide Older Ministries Workshop. Come and learn about the issues we all face as the aging process continues. Rev. Farley is CEO and President of GlenWood Park Retirement Village, a continuing care retirement community established in 1968 by the West Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in Princeton, West Virginia.

Calling all children and youth! Please bring fresh fruits and vegetables to our Thanksgiving Worship Service on Sunday, November 22, at 10:45 a.m. We invite you to meet us at the back of Sanctuary at the beginning of the Service. Each child and youth will take their gifts to the Altar Table during the Opening Hymn. Thank you very much!

Our Parish Thanksgiving Service will be held on Sunday, November 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Dillon Chapel United Methodist Church, 4421 16th Street Road, Huntington, West Virginia. Rev. Judy Fisher, pastor at First United Methodist Church of Barboursville, will be our preacher, and our own Chris Bowling will be at the organ. Come and bring a friend for a thankful celebration.

The Fellowship Sunday School class will hold a Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 5, at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Master chef (and choirmaster) Chris Bowling is preparing baked steak with all the fixings, for a donation of $10 per person. Please bring an elegantly wrapped gift (worth no more than $5) for prizes in a wild game of "dirty bingo". (Don't ask what that means -- just come and find out!) Everyone is invited to attend.

Preschool News -- During the month of November we have been learning about what it means to be thankful for the things we have in our lives. Our preschool is "thankful" for having a wonderful group of students and parents. Are students are a blessing to work with everyday and our parents are great supporters of the preschool! With Christmas coming so soon, we have already begun practicing for our Christmas program. Our program is going to be on Monday, December 14th at 6:00 pm. Come out and enjoy the story of "Christmas All Around", as we sing about the story of Jesus' birth.
