Updates on Haiti

Pea Ridge United Methodist Church, in cooperation with UMCOR, is continuing to accept donations for Haiti Relief. Every penny we collect will go directly toward the victims of the recent earthquakes. To join in the relief effort, please mark your donations "Haiti" on the new offering envelopes. Make checks payable to PRUMC.

According to Rev. Tom Clark, Coordinator of West Virginia Annual Conference Volunteers in Mission, our best response now will be to:

  1. Pray for Haiti and those who are First Responders.
  2. Send money through the UMCOR offerings suggested for the next few Sundays.
  3. Keep watching the Conference website for postings about our future response to Haiti.

On a personal note, Larry Carrico has left on a Medical Mission to Haiti. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.

Gifts also can be made directly to the Haiti Relief Fund.

New!. PRUMC News! New!


Linda Stull, ECCHO representative, reports, "I have had great reports on the Christmas baskets for our families. Everyone was so pleased with the gifts and food. They all could not believe we were giving them all the food!! It was a good feeling and I was so proud of our members! ECCHO needs coats, gloves and any shoes. Warm clothing is also a need as we still have several weeks to go with winter. The food needs are soups, canned meats, and any fruit. Money is always needed. Thanks to everyone for your support."

Welcome, Terry Spurlock! We welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Terry Spurlock. She is doing an outstanding job, and we are so very happy to have her. Come by, and say "Hello" when you have the chance.
